What to do with kids in Berlin in December

Christmas is just around the corner, and there’s no shortage of fun activities to do with kids in Berlin this December. Come by Potsdamer Platz and Manifesto for many festive free kids activities and fun for the whole family! From Christmas Markets to free movie screenings, there’s something for everyone to get into the holiday spirit.

At Potsdamer Platz, the festive mood  is in full swing all month long. Check out one of Berlin’s best Christmas markets, with a sledding slope, a mulled wine hut, lots of stands to get tasty sweet and savoury foods and even a carousel for the kids.

If you would like to get out of the cold and do some indoor Christmas activities, come by the Playce and enjoy activities Every Friday, Saturday and open Sundays, bring the kids to The Playce for lots of winter fun with walking acts, workshops, facepainting and plenty of free activities for kids. From the 1st to the 22nd of December, all stores in the Playce are open on Sundays, so you can get some shopping done too! 

 

Nothing says Christmas like cuddling up to watch a film! On the 8th, 15th and 22th December, Kidz Kino is on at Manifesto Market. Watch a free film with the children, grab some popcorn and enjoy a glühwein in the cosy atmosphere of Manifesto. 

We will be screening Inside Out on the 8th, Toy Story on the 15th and The Nightmare Before Christmas on the 22nd, so there’s plenty to get in the mood for the big day! 

 

 

Want to combine last-minute gift shopping with a day out with the little ones? Come by our Christmas Edition of the Crafty Market on the 14th and 15th December, where you can enjoy a family meal and find handmade gifts for everyone in the family! There will be facepainting and fun for the children and there’s no need to worry about keeping them warm as it’s an indoor Christmas Market! 

 


Spending the season with kids is what makes it special, so make sure to make this time magical for the whole family and check out all the activities in and around the Potsdamer Platz this winter season.
