About the Dočasky De De Shelter:
Dočasky De De provides sanctuary to abused and abandoned dogs and cats, prepares them for a new beginning, and finds them new and better homes. "We are a non-profit organization. We do this voluntarily, without pay, at the expense of our own families and free time," says the head of the organization, Dita Pullmannová. The organization is known for providing high-quality veterinary and social care to dogs and only handing them over to carefully vetted people who meet their strict criteria.
How to Adopt a Dog from Dočasky De De:
- Personal Meeting with the Dog: If you are interested in adoption, you must come in person to meet the dog.
- Meeting the Dog's Needs: To adopt a dog, you must meet its specific needs – some dogs prefer living in an apartment, some need a garden, a few enjoy the quiet, and others require another dog friend in the family.
- Home Check: If you meet all the dog's conditions and you get along well, one of our volunteers will visit your home to check the environment where your future pet would live.
- Adoption Agreement: If everything works out from both sides, an adoption agreement is signed.
Current Number of Dogs:
As the name Dočasky De De suggests, it is not a traditional shelter. The dogs are housed in the homes of many volunteers. This is a huge advantage because they are constantly in contact with people and are fully socialized. Currently, they have 25 dogs in various homes. Annually, up to 350 dogs are adopted through the organization.
Length of Stay:
The length of stay varies for each dog, depending on their individual adoption conditions and health status. Some dogs require round-the-clock veterinary care, so they remain in lifelong care of the organization's experts and volunteers.
Come to the event, meet our wonderful dogs, and maybe you'll find your new best friend. We look forward to seeing you!
